Acento English speaking coach

Practice your job interview in English before the real one

You know your work. The hard part is explaining it in English, live, while someone waits for your answer. Acento lets you rehearse the real thing: a panel or a recruiter on a live call, asking about your own resume and the job you applied for. Afterwards you get a plain review of what came across and what to try next time.

Sound familiar?

  • You know the answer in your own language, but in English it comes out shorter and flatter than you meant.
  • You freeze when they ask something you didn't prepare, like a time a project went wrong.
  • You worry they'll ask you to repeat yourself, or that your accent hides how good you are.
  • Practicing alone in front of a mirror never feels like the real interview.

Bring your resume and the job

Upload or paste your resume and the job posting. The interviewers ask about your real experience and the role's requirements, including the one your background covers least, because that's the question you most need to practice.

Join a live interview

Choose a panel video interview with a hiring manager and a senior teammate, or a recruiter phone screen. They listen, follow up on what you say, and ask for examples, the way real interviewers do.

Get a review you can use

After the call you get two priorities: one about your answers, one about how you sounded, taken from your voice. Join again and the next interview builds on them.

At a glance

  • Panel video interview and recruiter phone screen
  • Questions from your own resume and the job posting
  • Follow-up questions when an answer is vague
  • A review of your answers and how they sounded
  • A recording of the whole call to rewatch
  • Up to 5 saved job postings, so you can practice each role

Questions

Do I need a camera?

No. You can join the panel interview with your voice only, and the recruiter screen is a phone call. Only your voice is used for the review; no video is sent for analysis.

What if I don't have a job posting yet?

Choose a general interview. The interviewers still ask about your background and the questions most interviews include.

Is it free?

The interview calls come with Premium ($9 a month or $69 a year). You can try a free call with the speaking coach first, to hear how a live call works and which sounds to work on.
